Re: [Globus-discuss] Question on LDAP server

Hi
Did you remember to include your information providers with the right arguments in grid-info-resources-ldif.conf?  I'm not sure what you mean by getting results even after you shut down the servers, but you could test your information providers and its arguments to see that they actually display what you want prior to including them into the conf file.  There is more information on extending MDS for your use at www.globus.org/mds

Subject: [Globus-discuss] Question on LDAP server

Dear all,

I have some questions on LDAP server. I am using Globus 2.0. I have modified some of the configuration files (grid-info-resources-ldif.conf) and restart the LDAP server  by $GLOBUS_LOCATION/sbin/SXXGris stop/start. However, when I start the search by "grid-info-search", my modification does not take any effect. It seems that the info of the previous searching is still cached. I can get the same info even after I stopped the LDAP server but did not start it. I would like to ask how can I eliminate the cached result and stop the LDAP server completely, and then restart the LDAP and get the updated info.

Thank you for the kind attention.

Regards,
Jacky
