Globus Toolkit 3.2.1 Download

Globus Toolkit 3.2.1 is an incremental release of the Globus Toolkit containing updates to the 3.2.0 release.

GT3.2 implements services with a combination of C and Java. The C components run on Unix platforms, including Linux.

    Solaris note: If you get the error Can't call method "gzread" without a package or object reference at ... lib/perl/Archive/Tar.pm line 274, do the following:
    1. Open gpt-3.0.1/packaging_tools/perl/GPT/PkgDist.pm
    2. Edit line 136 to read $tar = undef; (before the my $node = $me->add_package line)
    3. Comment out line 65 of install-gt3-bin to read # gzip -dc gpt-3.0.1-src.tar.gz | tar xf -
    4. Run install-gt3-bin again. It will work around a memory leak, and wil generate many harmless WARNINGs.

To select between glibc-2.2.5/glibc-2.3.2-27/glibc-2.3.2-101, run rpm -q glibc and check the glibc version number.

WARNING: These binaries are only known to work on the distribution used to generate them. Even though the RH9 and Fedora binaries have glibc version numbers of 2.3.2, they are incompatible. If you're using another distribution, try either the RH7.3 binary (for glibc2.2), or the RH9 version (for glibc2.3).

WS Base Installer

This package contains only the WS services from GT3 and the supporting packages. It gives you WS Core and the base services of WS GRAM, the Index Service, and Reliable File Transfer (RFT) service, as well as a GridFTP server and RLS.

Pre-WS Bundles

This is a list of the pre-web services bundles. The first nine are included in the pre-ws installer from above. They are provided separately here in case people have custom install requirements for these bundles. If you haven't used the Globus Toolkit before, we encourage the use of one of the installers above.

WS Core

This package contains the OGSI-compliant WS container. It may be installed on both Windows and UNIX platforms.

WS Gars (pure Java)

This package contains the Java-only higher level services of GT3. You must install WS Core first, then run "ant deploy" on the gars. This is covered in the Installation Guide.
